Q: How much do I have to pay when I pick up a car?
A: In order to know the offhand rental charge, we provide the simulation system on our web site, please try it and check the offhand total fee(except option and drop-off charge). Simulated total charge indicates the total cost, including basic rental fee, tax and immunity insurance. That is approximate cost, there may be a case it is altered. If you need any option, option charge is required in addition.

Q: I submitted application,however I have not received any reply from ToCoo.What should I do?
A; We reply to all of the application within 2 business days.There may be a trouble of mail delivery。ハincorrect E-mail address,yahoo address,etc.),in case you did not have any of our reply.Please be sure to contact us via Inquiry Form.Cancellation charge will be charged on the registered credit card,in case you do not use the confirmed reservation. *The reservation with the E-mail address that we can not deliver our reply may be cancelled.

Q: How long will it take for reservations to be confirmed after our applications through the internet?
A: We will send you our reply within a few days. However, for any reservation(application) made outside business hours or weekend, we will process your booking the next business day.

Q: What is meant by the charge incurred under the calendar day system?
A: The charge under the calendar system refers to the charge per day,the total cost will be counted according how many days you rent the car.

Q: Is there a limited distance we may drive without incurring additional charges?
A: The car rental is based on the unlimited mileage, there is no additional charge incurred by the driving distance.

Q: Is it possible to make reservations directly with the rental car store?
A: Yes, however you can not get the privileges through the ToCoo e.g. special discount rate or English language communication for booking procedure, etc.

Q: Is it possible to inquire/add conditions on the reservation by a direct contact with the outlet/car rental company?
A: No.We can only accept request via our website.Even if you directly contact with the outlet/car rental company,that can not be reflected on the reservation via our website.Due to avoid troubles,please refrain from a direct contact with the outlet/car rental company.

Q: Is it compulsory to pay a deductible(or Excess) charge on collision damage ?
A: Yes, this is one of the compulsory condition under the car rental service contract. And you should buy the immunity insurance to exempt the deductible charge, and those are included in the simulated rental price.

Q: How should payment be made?
A: We do not charge any fee on your credit card,unless you are charged cancellation fee or violate the traffic law in Japan/the rental contract with car rental company.Basically you should pay the rental fee by credit card.Credit cards, such as VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, Central, DC, UC, Diners Club International, Orico) may be used. However there is some outlets accepting cash payment only.For details, please check with the car rental outlet that you choose .

Q: Can I pay the rental fee by cash?
A: Credit card payment is necesasry.However there is a few outlets accepting cash payment only,due to lack of credit card reader.For details, please check with the car rental outlet that you will use.

Q: Will other costs other than the basic charge be incurred?
A: Simulation System shows the basic rental charge including the car rental fee,tax and immunity insurance.(from 1,050yen to 1.575yen per car per day,it is compulsory). Other options listed in the option column or the drop-off charge are beyond the basic charges. The exact total cost will be mentioned in the confirmation E-mail. Please pay the total cost at the car rental outlet on the day you pick up a car. In case you add any options or extending the term without advanced notice,extra payment should be incurred.

Q: We want to have additional drivers for our rental car. Do we have to pay extra fee for that? Are we supposed to register him/her in advance?
A: There is no extra fee for additional drivers. Please note that respective drivers should have international license,original driving license,passport,when they pick up the car to be registered.

Q: Is it possible to browse your homepage from my cellular phone? Can I receive your replies through my cellular phone?
A: No, it is not possible.

Q;Can I reserve a car if I am not a driver nor co-traveler ?
A;No.We can only accept application from driver or co-traveler of the driver.There is a case the rental charge and/or other fee are charged on the registered credit card in advance,in case a representative makes a reservation.

Q: Is it possible to contact with Tocoo by phone?
A: No, it is not possible. We do not provide the phone for customer inquiry,since we treat reservation for customer through website form or mail only.Please contact us via Inquiry Form below.

Q:Can I rent under the same conditions with Tocoo Japanese website?
A:No,Tocoo English website is totally separated from Tocoo Japanese website.The rental conditions are different from Tocoo Japanese website.
