Recently, there are inquiries from our customers, that Emails sent from ToCoo!, i.e. Confirmation Email, ETC card receiving URL Email, etc. do not reach.

ToCoo! sends Emails basically to the Email address registered when you made the booking.
Emails from us might be divided into the Spam/Junk folder.

It would be appreciated if you would check the Spam/Junk folder before contacting us, to be sure.

If you can not find any Email from ToCoo while checking folders of your Email box including Spam/Junk folder, the registered Email address might be incorrect. Please feel free to contact ToCoo! to solve the problem.

No cancellation charge measure will be lifted.

Entrance restrictions in Japan were widely eased from June the 1st. 2022, and sightseeing tourists can enter Japan.
Accordingly, our “Free Cancellation Charge” measure will be lifted from June the 10th. 2022.
Please be sure to note that the Chancel Policy shown on our website is applied for all the reservations.

No cancellation fees for all rental car companies

  • There will be no cancellation charge, if you cancel the reservation at least 7 days before the scheduled pickup date.
  • Cancellation charge is automatically incurred in case you cancel the reservation within 6days to the pick up date.
  • You can cancel with no cancellation charge within 24 hours after the booking was made, even if it is within 7days to the pick up date.
  • However, a cancellation fee will be incurred for all same-day cancellations, even if it is still within 24 hours of reservation confirmation.

All the car rental brands have drastically reduced the number of the cars of their fleet, now June the 1st.2022.
It means the car you would like to book might be SOLD OUT when you book a car.
ToCoo recommends you to book your car rental quite earlier than before.

From July 27, 2021, until the Japanese government eases the restrictions on entry into Japan due to the new coronavirus infection, there will be no cancellation fees for all rental car companies listed on the ToCoo!.  

・ Japan does not ease entry restrictions…   
・ Sudden change of plans…  
・ Illness…  

There is no charge for cancellation for any reason. Unconditional cancellation.


Japanese car rental companies have reduced the number of cars they have by 40% to 50%. Hawaii has similarly reduced its car rental fleet, but now there is a shortage of cars due to a large number of customers from the U.S. . As a result, daily car rental rates have skyrocketed from $300 to $600, up to $1,000. We predict that car rental rates in Japan will also skyrocket significantly from fall to next year.  


Demand for road trips are rising. Let’s book to secure your rental car now! There is no cancellation fee.


ToCoo! is free of charge for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the rental date.
Cancellation fees will be automatically incurred in the event of cancellation from 6 days before pickup. Please contact ToCoo!customer service to request a refund.

If there is no refund request, it is not refundable. Refunds are also not available if more than two months have passed since the billing date.

Note: If you do not use the rental car without notice on the day, you will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Special Handling of New-type Coronavirus

Due to the spread of the new-type coronavirus, there are a number of countries and regions have imposed travel restrictions and some customers have been unable to come to Japan.

ToCoo! has discussed with each car rental company and has decided to waive cancellation fees due to the new-type coronavirus in principle.


How to cancel

The cancellation method differs depending on the number of days until the car pick up date.

■ Up to 7 days prior to your car pick up
You can cancel your reservation by logging into your reservation from the View/Cancel a Reservation.

Within 6 days of your car pick up date
Please contact ToCoo! via the Inquiry Form on our official website and please make sure to fill in the below information.
・ ToCoo Reference Number
・ Request to cancel the reservation due to the coronavirus.

After the cancellation process is completed, a cancellation email will be sent to the email address registered at the time of reservation.

* Even if you submit a cancellation request from the inquiry form, the reservation has not been canceled yet.

Please be sure to check your cancellation email to see if your reservation has been canceled.
