Q: I cancelled my booking. Will I get a refund of the ToCoo options? How long until I get my refund?

*We can refund ToCoo! option fees(except for “Cancellation Compensation Support” Insurance fee) in the following cases:

– If you cancel your reservation by 7 days before your pickup date

Because of the nature of international transactions, it will take 1 week-3 months to receive the refund.

The exact time depends on your credit card company.

Q: Why hasn’t my 15,000 yen deposit been refunded yet?

The ETC card deposit will be released as soon as the toll fees are calculated and charged after the ETC card has been returned.

Please note that the deposit release might not be shown on your statement,
since it was just a deposit, not a charge.

TEP Pass(ToCoo! Expressway Pass) does not need toll fee calculation nor deposit.

Q: How do I pay?

Car rental and car option fees should be basically paid at an outlet upon arrival with a credit card, but there are advanced payment type plans.

You can check it in the Payment Method section of the Application Form.

ToCoo! option fees such as ToCoo! Additional Support (T.A.S.), ToCoo ETC Card rental, TEP Pass(ToCoo! Expressway Pass), Wi-Fi Router rental, etc. are charged on your credit card when you make a booking for all ToCoo! bookings.

Car rental outlets request you to pay with Credit Cards for payment.

There are several outlets that do not accept credit card payment, Cash Payment only, e.g. Sekai Rent A Car, outlets of small car rental companies etc.

Q: How do I pay for the expressway toll fees?

A; If you use the TOCOO! ETC card, ToCoo! will charge the actual toll fees to your credit card which are registered when the booking was made.

The procedures are as follows:

We receive the TOCOO! ETC Card back from you and check the expressway toll used.

We check the toll fees you used and send notification Email about toll fees(including 3% commision fee) to be charged.
(After the ETC card is returned, it will take approximately 10 days to 2 weeks for the checking procedures.)


We will charge the actual toll fees to your registered credit card and release the deposit of 15,000 yen at the same time.

※After sending notification Email about the toll fees to you, we will charge the toll fees within one week.
(If the settlement cannot be made due to such as credit card error or other reasons,TOCOO! will send you the payment URL.
In this case, please make the payment with the URL)

**Deposit is not required for TOCOO! Expressway Pass (TEP) etc. users.
