Kanagawa prefecture, located south of Tokyo, is home to Yokohama City, which is regarded as a world-class port town. Kanagawa prefecture has a long history as a center of trading in Japan due its economic development and prosperity. You can still find remnants of red brick warehouses and Japan's largest Chinatown. In the southern part of the prefecture, you can find Kamakura, where the Japanese samurai regime was established, and in the western part of the prefecture, there is well-known sightseeing area of Hakone and Yugawara district centering on Lake Ashi, around which you can find famous hot springs and resorts.
