ToCoo! Expressway Pass (TEP)

What is ToCoo! Expressway Pass?
TEP Pass (ToCoo! Expressway Pass) Option lets you enjoy unlimited use of all of Japan’s expressways at one fixed price. To use the TEP Pass, renting an ETC Card is required, and its fee is included in the fee of the pass.

・Available as an add-on option with all rental car companies and all vehicle types booked through ToCoo!
・ETC card pick-up is now available at convenience stores in the airport, even during early morning or late-night hours!

Important Information
The reservation method for the ToCoo! Expressway Pass has changed!
The previous ToCoo! Expressway Pass plan has ended, and it’s now been renewed as a ToCoo! Option.
This change allows you to add the ToCoo! Expressway Pass to almost any Rental Car reservations.

How to get TEP
You can add TEP as a ToCoo! option in the Rental Car Reservation Form.
* TEP is Available for reservations up to 10 days before the rental car pick up date.

There are 4 types of unlimited prepaid expressway passes available. Please choose one according to your itinerary.
① ToCoo! Expressway Pass (TEP)
⇒ Covers all of mainland Japan
② ToCoo! Expressway Pass (TEP) Hokkaido
⇒ Unlimited expressway pass for Hokkaido only. Cheaper than the nationwide version. Recommended for those visiting Hokkaido.
③ ToCoo! Expressway Pass (TEP) Kyusyu
⇒ Unlimited expressway pass for the Kyushu area (Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Saga, Oita, Kumamoto, Kagoshima prefecture). Cheaper than the nationwide version. Recommended for those visiting the Kyushu area.
④ ToCoo! Expressway Pass (TEP) Okinawa
⇒ Unlimited expressway pass for Okinawa. Cheaper than the nationwide version. Recommended for those visiting the Okinawa area.

Notes
*The maximum rental period is 30 days.
*We will charge you the regular toll fee after the expiration date.
*You cannot extend the rental period during your trip.
*You cannot lend the ETC card to others.
*The toll fees which the other person used will be charged to your registered credit card.
*ToCoo! will not bear any responsibility for the traffic restrictions by the road administrators.
*Due to the price increase in Japan Post shipping fees, the option fees of ToCoo! ETC card/TEP Pass are to be revised from 01 October 2024.
*Expressways without the ETC toll gate are NOT eligible.
